The ThinkPad USB 3.0 Ethernet Adapter is available as option and only shipped with some models. To

The following illustration shows how to attach an Ethernet cable to your tablet through a ThinkPad USB
3.0 Ethernet Adapter.
Attention: When you connect the ThinkPad USB 3.0 Ethernet Adapter to the USB 3.0 connector on your
tablet, ensure that the USB mark is facing upward. Otherwise, the connector might get damaged.
The ThinkPad USB 3.0 Ethernet Adapter has two network status indicators. When the green indicator is on,
the tablet is connected to a LAN. When the yellow indicator blinks, data is being transmitted.

Downloading games and applications

To extend the functionality of your tablet, download and install additional applications from the Windows
Store. The Windows Store provides an easy and quick way for you to shop for games and mobile
applications.
To download or buy an application or a game from Windows Store, tap Store from the Start screen, and then
follow the instructions on the screen.

Using the fingerprint reader

Depending on the model, your tablet might have a fingerprint reader. Fingerprint authentication can replace
your Windows password. In this way, you can log on to your tablet simply and securely. To enable fingerprint
authentication, enroll your fingerprints first.
Enrolling your fingerprints
To enroll your fingerprints, do the following:
1. Swipe in from the right edge of the screen to display the charms.
2. Tap Settings ➙ Change PC settings.
3. In the navigation panel, tap Accounts ➙ Sign-in options.
4. In the Fingerprint section, tap Add. The "Add a fingerprint to this account" window is displayed.
