    Read this first – important safety and handling information ® Before using your ThinkPad 10 (referred to as the tablet in this document), read all the information in this section. Reading the safety and handling information first helps you avoid the risk of personal injury, property loss, or accidental damage to your tablet.

To help protect against hearing loss, ensure that the headphones or earphones you use also comply with EN 50332-2 (Clause 7 limits) for a wide band characteristic voltage of 75 mV. Using headphones that do not comply with EN 50332-2 can be dangerous due to excessive sound pressure levels.

    Chapter 2. Getting Started Learn the basics to get started with your ThinkPad tablet. Follow the instructions to set up your tablet, use the multi-touch screen, connect to a network, and put your tablet into proper power modes. Setting up your tablet When you use the tablet for the first time, do the following to complete the initial setup: 1.
