Brakes
WARNING
• Do not operate the rear brake while its reservoir cover is removed. Fluid could overflow from
the reservoir and cause air to enter the fluid system. Air in the brake fluid system could cause
the brakes to malfunction.
• Use only DOT 4 brake fluid from a sealed, clean container. Using the wrong brake fluid, or
allowing contaminants into the brake fluid system, can damage the system seals, resulting in the
brakes malfunctioning.
6. Carefully add enough brake fluid to bring the level between MIN and MAX.
7. Reinstall the reservoir gasket and cover.
8. Reinstall the side cover.
Inspect Brake Hoses and Lines
1. Carefully inspect brake hoses and brake lines for abrasion or damage. Inspect all connections for leaks. Be sure
all guide clamps and straps are in place to secure the hoses and lines. Refer to the VICTORY SERVICE
MANUAL (PN 9918961) for line routing and guide/strap locations.
2. If abrasion, damage, or leakage is found contact your Victory dealer immediately for service.
