Check Rear Brake Fluid Level
1. To check the rear brake fluid level, remove the right side
cover. Straddle the motorcycle and bring it to a vertical
position.
2. View the brake fluid through the reservoir. The fluid should
be clear and at a level between MIN and MAX. Add brake
fluid if necessary.

Add Rear Brake Fluid

1. Bring the motorcycle to a vertical position with an
appropriate motorcycle lift or a block of wood or steel placed
securely under the frame.
2. Remove the right side cover.
3. Wipe the area around the reservoir cover with a clean cloth.
4. Wipe the brake fluid container with a clean cloth.
5. Remove the reservoir cover and gasket.
Caution
Brake fluid attacks painted surfaces and plastic parts. Always clean spilled brake fluid immediately with
plenty of water and a mild detergent.
