FILLING THE SYSTEM

Turn on the water main and open the
system valves (align slot vertically).

Open all radiator valves.

Unscrew the tank drain cap and connect
the integral filling loop between the Flow
valve and the Tank drain valve.
Open the flow and tank drain valves.
Fill the system to a pressure up to 2 bar.
Close the flow valve.

Vent all radiators, retighten the vent when
completed.
Check the system and correct any leaks.

The boiler integral expansion vessel is
pre-charged to 0.75bar (equal to a static
head of 7.5m (22ft)). A Schraeder type
valve is fitted to the expansion vessel to
allow for pressure adjustment if required.
If an extra expansion vessel is fitted to the
central heating return, adjust this to the
same pressure as the appliance internal
expansion tank, refer to separate instructions
with the extra expansion vessel.

Briefly open the pressure relief valve to
test its operation.

Close the tank drain valve.
Disconnect the integral filling loop.
Connect a suitable hose to the tank drain
ensuring safe disposal of the discharge.
Open the tank drain valve to reduce the
system pressure to the system pressure
required, then close.
System pressure and capacity:
1 bar 82 litres.
1.5 bar 46 litres.
Rotate the adjustable pointer on the
pressure gauge to record the set system
pressure.
Disconnect the hose from the tank drain.
Refit tank drain cap.
