2 Description

2.1 Use of the product as directed
The DC‑EX 125/ 5" M slitting hood is used in conjunction with 125 mm/ 5" discs and a Hilti vacuum cleaner for cutting
and slitting mineral materials, especially masonry. The DC‑EX 125/ 5" M slitting hood is to be used exclusively with
the DCG 125‑S (DCG 500‑S) and DEG 125‑D/P (DEG 500) for dry cutting (use of water is not permissible).
Observe the information printed in the operating instructions concerning operation, care and maintenance.
Do not tamper with or modify the slitting hood.
2.2 Access to edges and corners
The front clip can be opened for cutting and slitting applications where good access to edges (against walls) and in
corners is required.
