Disassembling the power chair frame (Jazzy Elite ES Portable only)
The Jazzy Elite ES Portable disassembles into several components: the seat, the shroud, the batteries, the rear
section of the power base, and the front section of the power base. See figure 9.
To disassemble the Jazzy Elite ES Portable:
1. Turn off the power to the controller.
2. Ensure the power chair is in drive mode. See III. "Your Power Chair."
3. Disconnect the controller from the power base.
4. Remove the seat.
5. Remove the main shroud by lifting the rear of the main shroud until it disconnects from the body shroud. Once
disconnected from the body shroud, slide the main shroud forward until the tabs are free from the body shroud.
Lift the shroud up and over the seat post.
6. Disconnect the quick release battery connectors.
7. Disconnect the quick release power module connector.
8. Unfasten the battery strap (not shown).
9. Remove the batteries from the power base.
10. Remove the safety snap pins that connect the rear section of the power base to the front section of the power
base. See figure 9.
11. Lift the rear section up and off of the front section.
