    THE QUANTUM JAZZY 1420 The Quantum Jazzy 1420 has two main assemblies: the seat and the power base. See figures 5 and 6. Typically, the seat assembly includes the armrests, seatback and seat base.The power base assembly includes two motor/ brake assemblies, two drive wheels, two anti-tip wheels, two castor wheels, two batteries and wiring harnesses.

  • Page 19 3-pin connector. Active-Trac Suspension Your Quantum Jazzy 1420 is equipped with Active-Trac Suspension (ATS). ATS is a system designed to make your power chair traverse different types of terrain and obstacles while maintaining smooth operation. With ATS, the front anti-tip wheels work in conjunction with the motor suspension to help you manoeuvre over obstacles.
  • Page 20 If a lever is difficult to move in either direction, slightly rock the power chair back and forth. The lever should then move to the desired position. WARNING!     Your Quantum Rehab Dealer has evaluated your power chair and made any necessary adjustments to suit your specific requirements. Do not change your seating configuration without first contacting Pride Mobility Products or your Quantum Rehab Dealer.

    NOTE: If your power chair is equipped with a Specialty Seat, Synergy Seat or TRU-Balance Power Positioning System, loosen the mounting screws in the mounting block, transfer the mounting block and controller to the opposite armrest, and tighten the mounting screws.     V I I . C A R E A N D M A I N T E N A N C E CARE AND MAINTENANCE Your Quantum Jazzy 1420 is a sophisticated power chair. Like any motorised vehicle, it requires routine maintenance checks. You can perform some of these checks, but others require assistance from a Quantum Rehab Dealer.
