You
may
find
this
inconvenient
to
reach
,
but
do not turn the Amiga off
by
pulling out the
plug.
That could
damage the
power suppl
y
or
the Amiga
.
We
suggest
getting a
multi-outlet electrical power strip
fro
m
a
hard
ware store.
This
would
allow
you
to
connect all
the e
lectrical
plugs
from your
Amiga system
components, and
power them all on or
off
with
a single
on/off
sw
itch
.
Also
,
when
connecting cables to the Amiga, make sure yo
u'
re plugg ing the
correc
t
cable into the
proper connector.
The picture
below
should help yo
u with
these connections.
Remember
, don'
t
try to
force
a cable into a connector;
double-check to make sure the cable matches
that connector.
Attaching the Mouse
Before attac hing a
new
mouse
,
turn
the mouse upside
down and pull
out the
piece of foam that holds the
mouse bali
in pl
ace
.
(If
you
don'
t get all
the foam
out
,
see the "Cleaning the Mouse
"
section
in
Chapter
9 to find out how to
uncover the mouse
ball.
