Before You Start
Before setting up your Amiga, be sure to read each instruction carefully.
While it 's not difficult to assemble the Amiga, it is possible to damage it if yo u
don' t follow the instructions.
Note the cardboard sleeve in the disk drive . Believe it or not, many Amiga
returns are made simply because care was not taken in removing the cardboard
piece protecting the disk drive. Thi s sleeve sits inside the disk dri ve opening and
was des igned to protect the drive during shipping. Make sure yo u press the drive
button befo re you remove the cardboard piece, to release the cardboard piece so
it slides out easily. Also, save the piece to replace in the dri ve unit opening for
protection during transportation.
Turn the computer otT before inserting or remov ing any connectors.
Note where the on/off switch is located : it' s on the power suppl y.
