– Use a pan lid whenever possible to
minimise heat loss.
– Cook with as little water as possible.
– Cooking times are greatly reduced
when using a pressure cooker.
– Turn the flame down promptly to a
lower setting when the pan has come
to the boil.
– Wide, shallow pans are preferable to
tall, narrow ones. They will heat up
faster.
