Position clutch lever fitting and
align with opening 2 at mark-
ing 3 as shown.

Threaded fasteners not
tightened to the specified
torque can work loose or their
threads can suffer damage.
Always have the tightening
torques checked by a specialized
workshop, preferably an
authorized BMW Motorrad
retailer.
Install screw 1 with specified
torque.
Handlebar fitting on han-
dlebars
4 lb/ft (5 Nm)
Check operation of clutch lever.

Footrests

Adjusting footrests
Loosen screws 1 on left and
right.
Turn footrests 2 on left and
right into desired positions.
Footrests audibly engage.
Tighten screws 1 on left and
right.
Pinch bolt of eccentric
adjustment of footrests
Thread-locking compound:
Micro-encapsulated
11 lb/ft (15 Nm)
