The start attempt is auto-
matically interrupted if bat-
tery voltage is too low. Recharge
the battery before you start the
engine, or use jump leads and a
donor battery to start.
Engine starts.
Consult the troubleshooting
chart if the engine refuses to
start. (

Warm-up phase

During the warm-up phase, the
LEDs 1 indicate the engine tem-
perature; the colder the engine
is, the more LEDs are switched
on. At the same time, a seg-
ment 2 for the recommended
maximum engine speed is shown
in the tachometer. A decreasing
number of LEDs light up as the
temperature rises and the recom-
mended maximum engine speed
increases. When the operating
temperature is reached, all LEDs
are switched off and the entire
engine speed range can be used.
The remaining segment in the
tachometer shows the maximum
speed.
If the indicated maximum engine
speed is exceeded, the LEDs
flicker.
Pre-ride check
The instrument cluster runs a
test of the 'General' warning light
when the ignition is switched on:
this is the "Pre-Ride-Check" The
'General' warning light shows first
red and then yellow, so that you
can check that it is in working
order. The test is aborted if you
start the engine before it com-
pletes.
If the startup animation is
switched on, the tachometer is
also activated.
Phase 1
General warning light shows
red.
Phase 2
General warning light shows
yellow.
If the 'General' warning light does
not show:
Some malfunctions cannot
be indicated if the 'Gener-
al' warning light cannot be dis-
played.
Check that the 'General' warning
