Blemish compensation

The GO-5000-PGE has a blemish compensation circuit. This function compensates blemishes on the
CMOS sensor (typically pixels with extremely high response or extremely low response). This applies
to both monochrome and color versions. Pixels that fulfill the blemish criteria can be compensated
by averaging the data from the pixel in the left adjacent column and, in the case of the
GO-5000C-PGE, the defective pixels can be compensated by averaging the data from the same
Bayer color pixel in left adjacent column. The number of pixels that can be compensated is up to
256pixels.
GO-5000-PGE has an automatic blemish detection function. After setting the threshold, when the
blemish compensation is executed, blemishes are automatically detected and stored in the memory
inside the camera. If the blemish compensation is set to ON, the stored data is loaded. The
customer can adjust white blemishes but not black blemishes.
Note: If defective pixels are found consecutively in the horizontal direction, the blemish
compensation circuit does not work.
