Active Riding
Overview
"Active Riding" is the second part of "P.A.S.S." It involves an understanding of how your body weight, balance, gravity, and physical
forces affect the handling of the ATV. For example, when you drive a car quickly into a sharp turn, your body is pulled to the outside of the
vehicle by centrifugal force. Although a car is relatively stable, enough centrifugal force can cause an ATV to overturn. Constantly shifting
your weight is one major difference between driving a car and riding an ATV. Knowing how to shift your weight is necessary to avoid roll-
ing or flipping the ATV.
For complete operating instructions, see ATV OPERATION section in this manual.
