Remote control of the Surround Decoder
General information
The F6 system remote control handset provides direct-
access buttons for the essential basic functions of the
decoder, such as selecting the sound and picture source
and adjusting the volume.
In the drawings some of the buttons are filled in
(
 ); these are the ones which are required for
remote control of the decoder. The other buttons have no
effect on this unit.
Selects the DVD 820 M as source.
Selects the tuner as source.
Selects the AUX/PH input as source.
Selects one of the inputs TV or STB
(satellite receiver) as source. Pressing this
button repeatedly switches between TV and
STB.
Selects one of the inputs TAPE 1 (CC 820 M)
or TAPE 2 as source. Pressing this button
repeatedly switches between TAPE 1 and
TAPE 2.
Volume control rocker.
Press briefly to select the loudspeaker
outputs in turn:
Holding the button pressed in switches off
the loudspeaker outputs.
Switches between surround mode and
stereo mode.
Supplementary functions
Decoder functions which are only required occasionally,
i. e. which do not need to be changed every day (e. g.
tone controls or surround mode) are controlled by
accessing an on-screen menu ('Main Menu'). The
individual functions of the main menu are described in
detail in the following section.

Basic settings

The decoder's basic settings and configuration, which
only have to be entered when the system is first
commissioned, or if you make a fundamental change to
the system, are accessible via the Configuration Menu.
The procedures are explained in greater detail in the
'System Configuration' section.
