From the 2-Sided Printing area, select Manual.
Note: To use the settings defined in the printer, select Use Printer Settings.

The Print Instruction Page to Assist in Reloading item will be selected automatically.

Click OK.

The printer prints the odd-numbered pages and the instruction sheet, which describes how to flip and reload the
paper.

Following the instruction sheet, flip and reload the paper.

The printer then prints the even-numbered pages on the reverse sides of the odd-numbered pages, completing
the two-sided sheets.
Note: To return to single-sided printing, return to the Advanced tab. From the 2-Sided Printing area, select
Off from the drop-down menu.
Using Macintosh

With a document open, click File ª Print.

From the print options pop-up menu, choose Paper Handling.

Do one of the following:
For Mac OS X version 10.5
a
From the Pages to print menu, select Odd only.

Click Print.

After printing the first set of pages, flip the stack of printouts.
Reload the stack of pages.

Repeat steps 1 and 2.

From the Pages to print menu, select Even numbered pages.
For Mac OS version 10.4 and earlier
a
From the Print menu, select Odd numbered pages.
b
Click Print.
c
After printing the first set of pages, flip the stack of printouts.
Reload the stack of pages.

Repeat steps 1 and 2.
e
From the Pages to print menu, select Even numbered pages.
