Steering Lock

This model is equipped with a steering
lock located directly above the power
steering motor. To lock the steering, turn
the handlebar fully left, insert the key
into the lock, and turn key counterclock-
wise; then remove the key. To unlock the
steering, insert the key into lock and turn
the key clockwise; then remove the key.
NOTE: Make sure the key is
removed after locking the steering.

Shift Lever

This ATV has a dual-range automatic
transmission with reverse.

Drive Select Switch

This switch allows the operator to oper-
ate the ATV in either two-wheel drive
(rear wheels) or four-wheel drive (all
wheels). For normal riding on flat, dry,
hard surfaces, two-wheel drive should be
sufficient. In situations of aggressive trail
conditions, four-wheel drive would be
the desired choice.
To either engage or disengage the front
wheels, move the switch to the 4WD
position or to the 2WD position.

CAUTION
Do not attempt to either engage or dis-
engage the 4WD lock while the ATV is
moving.
The 4WD lock allows the operator to
mechanically lock the front differential to
apply equal power to both front wheels.
To engage the lock from 4WD, slide the
switch up and move fully to the left. To
disengage the lock, move the switch
lever to the right.
! WARNING
The 4WD lock is intended for use
where minimum traction is avail-
able. NEVER EXCEED 10 MPH (16
kph) with the lock engaged. Maneu-
verability and handling characteris-
tics
