Expander card

This topic provides information to help you locate the connectors on the expander card if your server has
one installed in the shorter slot of the riser card assembly 1.
The expander card works together with the RAID card by expanding the ports on the RAID card so that
the server can support up to 16 hard disk drives.
Note: The server must have a RAID card and an expander card installed to support more than eight hard
disk drives.
