Manual image density
If you require darker or lighter copies, adjust the image density yourself.
A
If the Auto Image Density indicator is lit, press the {Auto Image Density} key
to cancel it.
B
Press the {Lighter} (left) key to lower the image density. Press the {Darkers}
(right) key to increase the image density.
Combined auto and manual image density
Use when copying originals with a dirty background (such as newspapers). You
can adjust the foreground density while masking out the dark background.

If Auto Color Selection mode is selected, select other color modes to cancel
it.

Press the {Auto Image Density} key to light the Auto Image Density indicator.

Press the {Lighter} or {Darkers} key to adjust the density.
