(4) CD synchronized recording (when connected to the DRA-F101 and DCD-F101)
Use this function to record CDs easily.

Connect the Digital output terminal of CD player (DCD-F101) to digital input terminal of this unit with connecting

cords for digital recording.

NOTES:
• The CD synchronized recording function will not work if the CD player is set to the program mode. In such case,
release the program mode. When in the random play mode or repeat play mode, these modes are released
automatically and the CD synchronized recording mode starts.
• When TOC writing starts, the "
" indicator flashes. Do not shake the main unit, or unplug the power supply
cord while the TOC is being written. If the data is not recorded property, it will not be possible to play the disc.
• If editing has been performed and the TOC data has not yet been written, " Write UTOC " is displayed and the
recording mode cannot be set.
• If you perform synchro recording of CD tracks that are " Copy Prohibited ", the tracks are automatically
recorded in the analog mode " SCMS Ana. Rec " is displayed. When this happens, the analog recording mode
remains set until the synchro recording mode is canceled. For some CDs, the beginning of the track may remain. If
this happens, erase the beginning of the track following the procedure at "14-(1) Erasing tracks" on page 22.
Turn on the power of the receiver.

Load the CD that you want to record to the disc

holder of CD player.

Load a recordable MiniDisc into the MD slot.
Press the INPUT button to select the "Optical-1"

or "Optical-2" which is connected to DCD-F101.
Press the CD synchro recording button (CD SRS)
of this unit to select the synchro recording mode.
• Each press of the button switches the unit as
described below.

Press the ENTER button of the main unit.
• Recording starts automatically.
This unit and the CD will stop automatically

when playback of the CD has ended, as well
as when the disc has been fully recorded
before the CD has finished playing.
When you want to stop recording, press the
(stop) button of this unit or CD player and the TOC
recording will be performed.
(5) Synchronized recording (when connected to D-F101 series)
When the DMD-F101 is set to the recording pause mode, recording starts automatically when the play/pause button
