Questions and answers
I GET A DEFINATE HISS WHEN I TURN THE UNIT ON, BUT I GET NO SOUND WHEN I TRY TO USE IT IN THE CHURCH.
A hiss in the Williams Sound PPA R37 and no sound output when used in a church could be caused by several factors:
1. Audio Source Issues – The Audio Source control may not be set correctly to match the input device. Adjust the settings accordingly.
2. Input Overload – If the audio input level is too high, the "input overload" indicator may be illuminated. Lower the audio level.
3. Ground Loops or Noise – There may be interference or noise in the input signal. Check for ground loops and eliminate unwanted noise.
4. Audio Level Control – If the Audio Level Control is set too high, noise may increase when the program is silent. Adjust it properly.
5. Compression Settings – If the T35 Audio Processor is set for Normal Compression or the Compressor Slope ratio is at 2:1, it may be inappropriate for the program. Adjust these settings.
Checking these factors should help resolve the hiss and restore proper sound output.
