About The Mode dial

Adjust part A to the desired mode.
The mode dial can be rotated 360°. Rotate it
slowly and surely to adjust to each mode. (Do
not adjust it to parts where there is no mode.)
A
L : Programme AE mode (P25)
The exposure is automatically adjusted by
the camera.
M : Aperture-priority AE (P52)
The shutter speed is automatically
determined by the aperture value you set.
N : Shutter-priority AE (P52)
The aperture value is automatically
determined by the shutter speed you set.
O : Manual exposure (P53)
The exposure is adjusted by the aperture value and
the shutter speed which are manually adjusted.
i : Motion picture mode (P74)
This mode allows you to record motion
pictures with audio.
: Print mode (P109)
This mode allows you to print pictures from
a PictBridge-compliant printer connected
directly to the camera.
: Scene mode (P61)
This mode allows you to take pictures
depending on the recording scenes.
0 : Auto mode (P29)
This is the recommended mode for beginners.
Q : Playback mode (P35)
This mode allows you to play back
recorded pictures.
