V101 SIP VoIP Telephony Adapter
V101 SIP VoIP Telephony Adapter
The V101 is a telephony adapter (TA) for »Voice over IP« applications (VoIP) based on SIP protocols. Once connected to the Internet the TA
can link two stations having IP addresses with each other through the Internet. The TA features two Ethernet LAN ports for hooking up a
DSL modem / router and a PC, as well as one port for an analog phone. Thanks to its integrated NAT/DHCP server the TA can be configured
through a Web browser. This feature makes it ideally suited for customers of ITSPs (Internet Telephony Service Providers) and SOHO users,
enabling them to use Internet telephony.
Each TA needs one IP address, one subnet mask and one Gateway / Router IP address for connecting to the Internet. This data is supplied to
you by your Internet Service Provider. In case your provider uses dynamic IP address allocation towards their customers, users of the TA
may activate the PPPoE or DHCP functions to have a dynamic IP address assigned automatically. The MAC hardware address (Media Ac-
cess Control of TA) can be found on the bottom side of the TA. Additional information can be found on page 9 and beyond, »Configuration
through the Web Browser«.
