Broadband Link through the TA (ADSL/cable modem)

Connect the LAN port of the TA to the ADSL NAT router.
Connect the PC to the TA using a Category 5 LAN cable.
Connect an analog phone to the respective »PHONE«, »PHONE 1« or »PHONE 2« port of the TA.
Connect the power supply block to the TA. The »POWER« LED lights up. After 5 seconds the »PHONE« LED flashes
five times. The TA is now ready for accepting configuration entries.
Lift up the handset of your phone. The »PHONE« LED lights up, and you hear the dial tone.
Now dial
you.
Hang up now.
Now dial

Connect your TA as shown in the illustration below.
Set up your PC for »DHCP« mode. Doing so makes the PC obtain its IP address from the TA.
Enter the IP address http://192.168.123.1 for accessing the Web-based configuration page.
Choose »Network«, then go to the »WAN Settings« page.
Set the LAN mode to »NAT«.
Under »IP Type«, select »PPPoE«.
Under »WAN Settings« , »PPPoE Setting« enter the User Name and Password specified by your provider.
Confirm your entries by clicking the »Submit« button. The TA will reboot now.
In the web browser on your PC, enter the desired web address.

ADSL links with external NAT router serving TA

In order to be automatically assigned an IP address from a NAT router, the TA must be set up as a »DHCP Client«.
From an attached analog phone dial, for example,
out loud to you for verification.
In the Web browser enter the IP address for the TA configuration page (factory default setting is 192.168.123.1).
