10. On the F-Series Z1/Z1 Turbo
models, there is a "cold drive-
way" function incorporated within
the engine. When cold-starting the
engine, the coolant temperature
warning icon will illuminate and
the readout screen will display
TEMP. With the engine in this
temperature
"limit" of the engine will be below
drive system engagement speed.
As the engine warms, the coolant
temperature warning icon and the
TEMP display will begin to flash,
and the RPM "limit" of the engine
will increase allowing the snow-
mobile to move without full-throt-
tle operation. When the engine
reaches proper operating tempera-
ture,
the
warning icon and TEMP display
will cease to flash. If starting a
warm engine, the RPM will be
"limited" for no less than one min-
ute. Do not idle the engine for
excessively long periods of time.
CAUTION
It is extremely important that the
engine is properly warmed up
before subjecting the engine to
high speed operation or heavy
loads. The
engine
allowed to idle at least 3-4 minutes
before it is operated at more than
1/2 throttle. In extremely cold con-
ditions, the warm-up time will be
longer. Cold seizure and piston
scuffing caused by insufficient
warm-up will not be covered by
warranty. Also, do not idle the
engine for excessively long peri-
ods of time.

11. Flooding — On the F 570 model if
the engine does not start when the
choke is being used but seems
ready to start, move the choke
lever to the OFF position. Engage
the brake lever lock; then com-
press the throttle control lever
fully and try to start the engine.
RPM
When the engine starts, release the
throttle control lever immediately.
After the warm-up, release the
brake lever lock.
 NOTE: Continued choking will
cause the engine to flood more.
12. Flooding — On the CFR/F5/F6
Sno Pro/F8/F-Series Z1/Z1 Turbo
models if the engine does not start
but seems ready to start, engage the
brake lever lock; then compress the
throttle control lever fully and try
to start the engine. When the
engine starts, release the throttle
control lever immediately. After the
warm-up, release the brake lever
lock.
 NOTE: On the CFR/F5/F 570/F6
Sno Pro/F8 models if the engine
fails to start during the attempt
with the throttle control lever com-
pressed, remove the spark plugs
and clean and dry them thoroughly
be
or install a new set of properly
gapped,
plugs.
 NOTE: On the F-Series Z1/Z1
Turbo models if spark plugs must
be replaced, take the snowmobile
to an authorized Arctic Cat Snow-
mobile dealer for inspection and
service. This service is at the dis-
cretion and expense of the snow-
mobile owner.
