STEP 6: Scan Data into a Windows Program

Follow these steps to use the Wand Scanner 2E to scan data into a Windows
program that accepts virtual keyboard entry. For information about bar code
scanning applications (available separately), email
1. Start SocketScan. Click on the SocketScanXP icon on your desktop, or
click Start | Programs | SocketScanXP.
Whenever SocketScan is running either of two icons will appear in the task
tray at the bottom of your screen.

2. Start the Windows application you want to receive the data (e.g., Excel).
Make sure a new document or spreadsheet is open that you can scan data
into.
3. Highlight the cell or move the cursor to where you would like data to be
entered from the next bar code scan.
