Controlling your TV with
the Supplied Remote
By adjusting the remote signal, you can
control your TV with the supplied remote.
Notes
• Depending on the connected unit, you may not be
able to control your TV using some of the buttons
below.
• If you enter a new code number, the code number
previously entered will be erased.
• When you replace the batteries of the remote, the
code number you have set may be reset to the
default setting. Set the appropriate code number
again.
Controlling TVs with the remote

Hold down TV =/1, and enter your
TV's manufacturer code (see "Code
numbers of controllable TV" on
page 69) using the number buttons.

The remote is set to perform the

Turn the TV on or off.
Switch the TV's input source
between the TV and other input
sources.
Watching the Video or
other Unit
You can use VCR or other units connected
to the VIDEO 1, VIDEO 2 or OPTICAL IN
jacks. Refer to the operation manual
supplied with the unit for further
information on the operation.
FUNCTION
Press FUNCTION repeatedly until
"VIDEO 1" ,"VIDEO 2 DIG" or "VIDEO
2" appears on the front panel display.
Each time you press FUNCTION, the mode
of the receiver changes in the following
sequence.
DVD t TUNER t VIDEO 1 t VIDEO
2 DIG t VIDEO 2 t TV-AUDIO* t
DVD...
*When selecting the TV-AUDIO, TV sound
is output.
Note
You can listen to other equipment (cassette deck,
satellite tuner, etc.) connected to the receiver by
pressing FUNCTION and selecting the connected
input.
