DETERMINE VENTING SIZE AND DISTANCE:
It is recommended that the vent system be installed with a minimum of three (3') of vertical
rise above the appliance exhaust port.
Equivalent Vent Length (EVL) is the method of determining vent sizes and lengths, that takes into account the
effect of different component parts on air flow.
STEP 1
To help you determine the correct size and/or run, simply fill in the chart below.
Pellet Venting

Step 2
Ensure the Total Equivalent is
or is less than 30.
Step 3
Use the Sizing Chart to
determine the proper venting
size according to the Total
Equivalent and the Altitude
above sea level.

venting configurations
and altitude adjustments
