Line Voltage Wiring
The linevoltage(115volt)tothe furnacemust
be suppliedfrom a dedicatedbranchcircuit
containing the correctfuse or circuitbreaker
for the furnace.See Table8. An electrical
switchshouldbe readilyaccessible fromand
within sight of the furnace. See the Wiring
Diagram labelin the furnace for moredetails.
The furnacecabinetmust have an uninter-
rupted,unbrokengroundto minimizeinjury
shouldan electrical f aultcondition occur.The
controlsusedin this furnacerequirean earth
groundto operate properly.Acceptable meth-
odsforgrounding areelectrical wireor conduit
approved forelectrical g roundservice. D o not
usegas pipingas an electrical g round.
NOTE:Properline voltagepolaritymust be
maintained in orderfor the controlsystemto
operate correctly. Verifythattheincoming neu-
tral lineis connected to thewhitewireandthe
incoming "hot"line is connected to the black
wireinthefurnace junctionbox.Thefurnace will
not operateunless polarityand ground are
properlyconnected. See Figure26.
