sAfETY INsTRUcTIONs

Work Area

• Do not operate the ORBOT in explosive areas, such as in the presence of flammable liquids, gasses
or dust.
• Keep children and bystanders away while operating the machine.

Electrical Safety

• Power tool plugs must match the outlet.
• Do not expose power tools to rain or wet conditions.
• Do not abuse the cord. Never use the cord for carrying, pulling or unplugging the power tool. Keep
cord away from heat, oil, sharp edges or moving parts. Damaged or entangled cords increase the
risk of electric shock.
• When operating the machine outdoors, use an extension cord suitable for outdoor use. Use of a
cord suitable for outdoor use reduces the risk of electric shock.
• Guard against electrical shock.

Personal Safety

• Stay alert, watch what you are doing and use common sense when operating the machine. Do not
use the machine while you are tired or under the influence of drugs, alcohol or medication.
• Use safety equipment. Always wear eye protection.
• Avoid accidental starting. Ensure the switch is in the off-position before plugging in.
• Remove any adjusting key or wrench before turning the machine on. A wrench or key left attached
to a rotating part of the machine may result in personal injury.
• Dress properly. Do not wear loose clothing. Keep your hair, clothing and gloves away from moving
parts.
• If devices are provided for the connection of dust extraction and collection facilities, ensure these
are connected and properly used. Use of these devices can reduce dust-related hazards.

Further Important Instructions

• Inspect the power cord periodically for damage such as cracking and aging. Replace the cable if
damaged, before you take the machine back into operation.
• If the cord is damaged, it must be replaced by a special cable. You can get this cable at your HOS
manufacturer or a qualified distributor.
• Always remove the power cord from the outlet before cleaning or repairing the machine or
replacing parts.
• Before using the machine, make sure that the driver plate is attached properly.
• Position the cord clear of any moving machine parts.
