MAKING IN-WALL CONNECTIONS
The MCX-CA15 features three different operation modes for user flexibility. Before using the MCX-CA15,
you must set the operation mode to either "A", "B" or "C" depending on your system configuration.
CAUTION
Be sure to set the operation mode before connecting the MCX-CA15 to a live power source.
Operation Modes

Use this mode if you want to use the MCX-CAI5 as a companion to the MCX-
A mode
C15. In this mode you can also control YAMAHA AV receivers connected to the
7,8 and 9
MCX-CAI5 or I/O box from the MCX-CI5's remote control using YAMAHA
AV link technology.
Use this mode if you want to use the MCX-CAI5 as an amplifier for a system
Bmode
other than the MusicCAST system and you also want to automatically turn on the

MCX-CAI5 or switch it to sleep mode using the input level sensing function*.
Use this mode if you want to use the MCX-CAI5 as an amplifier for a system
Cmode
other than the MusicCAST system and you do not want to use the input level
10
sensing function*.

To switch the operation mode
You can switch between the three available
operation modes using the MODE switch located
inside the front panel of the MCX-CA15.
CAUTION
After switching the operation mode, be sure
to press RESET.

Remove the front panel of the
MCX-CA15 by lifting towards you gently.

Slide the MODE switch to the left or
right to set the operation mode you want
to use, then press RESET.

Replace the front panel by pressing it
gently onto the main body of the unit
until it clicks into place.
