5. Plotter Display Error Messages

Below is a list of error messages shown on the plotter display, arranged in alphabetical order.
Message
All waypoints are set to SKIP.
Beacon Receiver is not built in.
Cannot calculate L/L data.
Cannot copy to the same source
medium.
Cannot delete.
Cannot find file.
Cannot format.
Cannot load data.
Cannot record log, Remove
write-protection of FD.
Cannot record log.
Cannot replay log.
Cannot replay while destination is
selected.
Cannot specify area when display
mode is other than NU/TM.
Could not save. Memory space is
not enough.
Data Logger replay stopped
Distance is too long, cannot be
registered.
Meaning
All route waypoints in a "chained"
route are set to "skip."
Internal beacon receiver selected
on menu and system is not
equipped with the built in GPS
receiver.
Could not convert LA, LC or
Decca to latitude and longitude
position, because estimated L/L
position is too inaccurate, when
you attempted to enter mark, line,
target point or waypoint.
Selected target medium is the
same as source medium, when
attempting to copy data.
Could not delete a file.
File could not be found when
replacing floppy disk in logger
recording, replaying; file selected
for display from memory card
does not exist.
Could not format medium.
Could not load data when
replaying a file.
Could not record logger data to
floppy disk because it is write
protected.
Improperly formatted floppy disk
used to record logger data.
Damaged floppy disk used to
replay logger data.
You attempted to playback data
when a destination is set.
"Off Screen" or "On Screen"
specified when attempting to
erase track, marks or file when
mode is other than NU/TM.
Could not record data because of
insufficient space on medium.
Appears when logger recording
or replaying is attempted while
data logger replay is stopped.
You attempted to register a
mark/line, target point or waypoint
by range and bearing but no
latitude and longitude position
could be found because the
distance is too far away.

Remedy
Restore appropriate waypoints as
necessary.
Select external GPS receiver on
the GPS menu.
Check navigator.
Select different target medium.
Try again.
Try again. If formatting fails again,
replace medium.
Try to replay data again.
Release write protection.
Insert formatted floppy disk and
try again.
Replace floppy disk.
Switch to NU/TM mode and try
again.
Replace medium and try again.
Reenter position.
