11.14 Setting Ship's Speed

The ARP requires own ship's speed and heading inputs. Speed may be entered automatically
from a speed log or navaid, or manually through the keyboard.
1. Press [MENU], [9], [3], [7] to open the Initial Setting menu, and select Page 1.

↑↓←→ : Select & Set.
MENU : Back to Main Menu. HL-OFF: Menu off temporarily.
2. Press [↑] or [↓] to select Speed Mode.
3. Press [←] or [→] to select Manual, Log or Nav as appropriate. For Log or Nav go to step 7.
In case of manual input go to step 4.
4. Press [↓] to select Manual Speed.
5. Use the numeric keys to enter speed.
Note: Entered value does not appear on the screen. A vector may be displayed to show
manually entered speed by doing the following on the ARP menu:
• Select "True" from Vector Reference.
• Set Vector length with Vector Time.
6. Press the [ENT] key.
7. Press the [MENU] key several times to close the menu.
