4‐ Remove the back refractory panel (G).
To install new refractory panel, follow the
above steps in reverse.
7.6 Replacing the Glass and/or the Glass Gasket
To replace the glass, remove the glass
retaining screws (A) and the 4 metal frames
(B) that hold the glass (C) to the door frame
(D). Lift out the glass (C). Do the same for
the other door. This is a good time to clean
the glass thoroughly. To install the new
glass, follow the above steps in reverse
order.
It might be necessary to replace the glass gasket from time to time. The gasket is flat, adhesive‐backed,
woven fibreglass. Remove the glass retaining screws (A) and the 4 metal frames (B) that hold the glass (C) to
the door frame (D). Lift out the glass (C) and pull off the old gasket. Do the same for the other door. This is a
good time to clean the glass thoroughly.
