3.11 The Use of the Fire Screen
To take advantage of mesh doors, the glass doors can be removed from their hinges. Note that the mesh
door may be removed for cleaning purposes, but must always be in place and closed when the fireplace is
in use, even if the glass doors are closed.
OPERATE ONLY WITH GLASS DOORS FULLY CLOSED OR FULLY OPEN WITH MECHE DOORS ALWAYS
CLOSED. IF DOORS ARE LEFT PARTLY OPEN, GAS AND FLAME MAY BE DRAWN OUT OF THE OPENING,
CREATING RISKS FROM BOTH FIRE AND SMOKE. NEVER LEAVE THE FIREPLACE UNATTENDED WHEN IN
USE.
THIS FIREPLACE HAS BEEN TESTED FOR USE WITH OPEN DOORS IN CONJUNCTION WITH MECHE DOORS
ALWAYS CLOSED. THE MECHE DOORS MAY BE OPENNED ONLY DURING LIGHTING PROCEDURES OR
RELOADING. ALWAYS CLOSE THE MECHE DOORS AFTER IGNITION.
