Chapter 3. Operator Tasks and Training Requirements

Operators of the InfoPrint Color 100 printer should have some digital prepress and/or press experience.
One or a combination of both of these experience levels is an excellent background for operating the
InfoPrint Color 100.
IBM provides complete operator training. Contact your IBM representative for scheduling. The operator
should be trained the week before or the same week that the InfoPrint Color 100 is installed.
The training consists of hands-on instruction at Boulder, Colorado and follow-up training at your location.
The system engineer will conduct training for upgrades at your location.
Operators are responsible for the quality of all printed material. This requires general knowledge of
concepts such as: color density, trapping, and registration.
