Changing the handset name

The handset can be given a customized name
("Bob", "Kitchen", etc.). This is useful when
you make intercom calls. You can also select
whether or not the handset name is displayed
in standby mode. The default setting is "No".
If you select "Yes" without entering any
handset name, "Handset 1" is displayed.

This feature allows the unit to reject calls when:
– the unit receives a call from a phone
number stored in the call block list as
unwanted ("Storing unwanted callers",
page 39).
– the unit receives a call without phone
number ("Blocking incoming calls without
phone number", page 40).

When a call is received, the unit rings for a
short time

call block list, the unit emits no sound to the

Important:
R When the unit receives a call from a
number that is stored in the call block list or
a call without a recognized phone number,
the call is logged in the caller list
(page 42) with
disconnected.
R You can program this setting using either
the base unit or the handset.
Storing unwanted callers
You can store up to 250 phone numbers in the
call block list.

R You must store the phone number with an
area code in the call block list.
