NOTE: Do not use a metal spoon to stir food inside inner pot since that might
damage ceramic non-stick coating, which could affect performance in the long term.
Before using your Oster
follow instructions below:
1. Remove any stickers and packaging materials from product. Remove static
cling from control panel.
2. DO NOT IMMERSE BASE/HOUSING IN WATER OR ANY OTHER LIQUID.
3. Clean and condition ceramic non-stick surface of inner pot:
• Wash inner pot and lid with soft sponge with hot, soapy water. Rinse and
dry well.
• Place inner pot back in base.
• To condition cooking surface, plug appliance into appropriate electrical
outlet. All function indicator lights will start blinking. Press Sauté Button
and then press Start/Stop Button
• Wipe small amount of butter or margarine onto cooking surface, spread
slightly and wipe away any excess.
• When done, press Start/Stop Button
NOTE: When using unit for first time, you may notice a fine smoke haze
coming out from unit. This is normal. It is due to initial heating of internal
components. Your Oster
and it will not be necessary to condition it again.
