The clock fails to come on.
1. Voltage
S Connect the pocket tester (DC 20 V) to the
clock coupler.
Tester (+) read ! Brow
Tester (–) read ! Frame ground
S Turn the main switch to "ON".
S Check the voltage (12 V) on the "Brown"
lead at the clock terminal.
2. Clock
S Check that the clock is operating properly.
S When setting the clock after its power
source has been disconnected (e.g., when
the battery is removed), first set the clock to
1:00 AM and then to the correct time.
This circuit is not faulty.

clock coupler is faulty, repair it.

The clock is faulty, replace it.
