11) Apply a recommended grease coating on the lip closing of
oil seal (7).
12) Assemble oil seal on sump with the lip closing towards the
inside.
13) Install now:
• The engaging pinion (10) with the washers controlling
the preloading.
• Supplement (8).
• Flange (6).
• Washer (25) and nut (24), tightening to the specified tightening
torque.
• Fix nut with a new cotter pin (5).
Tightening torque of nut fixing flange:
11.24 Kg-m (112.4 Nm)
14) Assemble on differential box the two planet gears, the two
satellite gears and the axle with two retaining circlips.
15) Lubricate the gears with group oil and check that running is
smooth with neither knockings nor stalling.
16) Install the rolling elements of the differential box paying
attention not to exchange trails.
17) Assemble the crown on the differential box.
18) Apply recommended sealant to the screws fixing the crown
to the differential box tightening them to the specified
tightening torque.
Tightening torque for screws fixing the differential
ensemble: 5.5 ÷ 6.5 Kg-m (55 ÷ 65 Nm)
19) Lubricate rolling elements (15) of the differential box (4) and
assemble the ensemble on the sump of the group.
20) Install lids (1) and the lateral nuts (3) fixing them with screws
without tightening them in such a way that the differential
box can move within the housing.
21) Bring the two nuts (3) together till making sure that the
trails are coupled on the rolling elements.
NOTE:
To do this task on the front group, use special key ref.
530105, while for the rear group use key ref. 437100.
