• Take away sealant from the cavity located between rear
cover (45) and cylinder head (43). Fill them with
recommended sealant ref. 790962; put a new gasket (46)
on the plungers ensemble cover (35). Apply in angles
indicated (
) at the cover ~10 gr of recommended
sealant ref. 790963.
• Install cover and tighten nuts to the specified tightening
torque.
Tightening torque for nuts at plungers cover:
1Kg-m (10 Nm)
• Install camshaft position sensor (34) and its support. Adjust
the clearence to the specified measure with nuts (49) and
support (50) (common rail engine)

NOTE:
Maintain the parallelism between sensor and inside
surface of pulley
Clearance between sensor and camshaft pulley:
0,8 ÷ 1,5 mm
• Install news:
- Rubber gasket.
- Connection tube circlips of thermostate box and water
pump.
- Not reusable clamps.
- Autoblocking washer.
- Components danger.
- High pressure of fuel pipes (common rail engine)
2) Continue installation reverse removal procedures apply
specified tightening torque and those indicated in
complementary task.
Tightening torques:
• Screws support tensioning fixed roller of timing belt:
2,5 Kg-m (25 Nm)
• Nuts or screws of intake manifold and exhaust mani-
fold: 2,5 Kg-m (25 Nm)
• Screws of thermostate box:
1,8 Kg-m (18 Nm)
• Plungers cover nuts:
1 kg-m (10 Nm)
• Linkage at turbocharger oil inlet:
2,5 Kg-m (25 Nm)
• Oil pressure interruptor switch:
4 Kg-m (40 Nm)
• Screw fuel inlet to electrovalve from thermo starter:
1,8 Kg-m (18 Nm)
