3 MOUNTING HOOD TO BOTTOM OF
CABINET
Mounting the riser to the bottom of the cabinet is depen-
dent on your cabinet. For non-flush bottom cabinets, two
(2) 4" wide (length and thickness depend on your cabinet)
solid wood fillers are required on the left and right sides of
lower cabinet as shown. Use shims if necessary to make
wooden fillers flush.
NOTE: When securing wooden fillers to cabinet, be
sure to consider the hood mounting screw locations
on the template. Wooden fillers must be flush or
slightly less than the cabinet flange. Make sure the
cabinet bottom is level.
For flush bottom cabinets, no special instructions
are required.

• Remove the appropriate electrical knockouts in
the riser as shown in the figure.
• Install plastic grommet (from hardware bag) in
electrical knock out hole to protect cable.
IMPORTANT:
DO NOT remove the large knock
out for RECIRCULATION installation. Louvers
must face the front.

To secure the riser to the cabinet:
• Place the riser (with louvers facing the front) under
the cabinet. Align the riser and cabinet mounting
holes. Drive 4 supplied wood screws to install the
riser to the cabinet.

• Drive 4 hood mounting screws into the threaded
nuts on the bottom of the riser leaving 1/4" pro-
truding from the riser. The 1/4" gap will provide
the clearance to engage the key hole slots in the
top of the hood.
