Audio Channel Setting
5.1-channel surround playback
(Number of channels: 1 to 5.1)
¡ When down mix is selected, center (C) and surround (RS) (LS) signals are
mixed with the signals of the two channels (stereo) of right front (R) and left
DVD
front (L) to be output. There will be no audio output from the center (C),
VIDEO
surround (RS), (LS) and subwoofer (SW), while the output audio from the
fronts (R) and (L) will be a little greater.
¡ If "FRONT" is set to "SMALL" in speaker setting
CD down mix, there will also be audio output from the subwoofer (SW).
2-channel Dolby Surround audio
¡ When Pro Logic (4-channel surround playback) is selected, 2-channel Dolby
Surround audio is output after conversion to a 4-channel output from the
DVD
center (C), front (R), (L) and surround (RS), (LS). (The same audio from
VIDEO
(RS) and (LS).)
2-channel audio / analog audio
(R) and (RS), (L) and (LS) are same
audio (except for Dolby Digital / dts
2-channel).
¡ When Pro Logic (4-channel surround playback) is selected, 2-channel audio
/ analog audio is output after conversion to a 4-channel output from the
MP3
CD
center (C), front (R), (L) and surround (RS), (LS). (The same audio from
(RS) and (LS).)
Note: Pro Logic (4-channel surround playback) selection does not apply to
TV and radio.
