4. Using the sensor

An alarm is sent

When the patient leaves the bed a countdown is started.
If the patient has not returned to the bed before the
time has elapsed an alarm is sent.
The patient
leaves the bed.
flashing red, solid green
NOTE!
As long as the red led is blinking, the "out of bed
mode" is active.
The patient returns
to bed within the
specified time.
The patient does
not return to bed
within the speci-
fied time.
NOTE!
When a direct alarm is needed (0 min.), the sensor
sensitivity can either be set to send an alarm when the
patient leaves the bed or when the patient sits on the
.
bed edge
The countdown of the timer (see
chapter 3) is started when the
patient leaves the bed. The red
LED flashes during the count-
down.
If the patient returns to the bed
before the timer has elapsed the
sensor will return to its normal
mode, the red LED will stop
flashing and no alarm is sent.
However, if the patient does not
return to the bed and the time
elapses, an alarm is sent and the
red LED changes from flashing
to solid.
