3. Installation

Configure the detection zone

In order to detect correctly, the sensor needs to know the correct position of the bed. By
"marking" the two far corners of the bed with the remote control, the sensor receives
this information. After marking the bed, the sensor starts to calculate the surrounding
detection zones. Each time the sensor or bed has been moved the procedure has to be
repeated.
Configuration position 1. Above the head end of the bed

Turn off the sensor, i.e. press down the ON/
OFF button. Green LED is turned off.

Place the remote control in one of the cor-
ners of the foot end.
3.
Direct the remote control towards the
sensor and press the room/foot button if the
patient can leave the bed on this side. If the
patient cannot leave the bed on this side
press the wall/head button.
4.
Keep the button pressed down as long as
the red LED flashes (the sensor is learning
the position).
5.
When the sensor has learned the right
position, the LED's on the sensor indicate as
shown on the picture on the right.
6.
Place the remote control in the other corner
of the foot end and repeat the procedure
from 3.

When the red LED is turned on, the configu-
ration procedure has not been completed.
The procedure has to be repeated.
When the sensor is placed above the head
end of the bed the configuration should
be made according to the figure above.
Note that the choice of installationbutton
depends on whether the patient can leave
the bed on that side.
