4. Using the sensor

Activate and deactivate the sensor

The sensor is activated by directing the remote control towards the sensor and pressing
the red ON/OFF button. When the sensor is activated the green LED is lit.
The sensor is activated by pressing the red button.
When the sensor is activated, the green LED is lit.
Deactivate the sensor before helping the patient.
Otherwise the caregiver will trigger a false alarm.
Remember!
When the sensor is active a green LED is lit.
The sensor should be activated
after the patient has been
helped to bed, right before the
caregiver leaves the room.
In order to give the caregiver
a chance to leave the room
without triggering a false alarm
there is a delay of 10 seconds
before the sensor is activated.
The sensor should be deac-
tivated when the caregiver
enters the room. Otherwise the
sensor will be activated and
trigger a false alarm. Therefor
it is advised to have the remote
control near the entrance of the
room.
