Attach the connector of the speaker-mcrophone nto the [SP MIC]
jack on the transcever and tghten the screw.
IMPORTANT: KEEP the [SP MIC] jack cover attached to the
transcever when the speaker-mcrophone s not n use. (p. 3)
Water wll not get nto the transcever even f the cover s not at-
tached, however, the termnals (pns) wll become rusty, or the
transcever wll functon abnormally f the connector becomes wet.
SPEAKER-MICROPHONE
CAUTION: Attach the [SP
MIC] jack snugly, but do
not overtighten.
A loose connection will
allow water intrusion into
the jack; an overtightened
jack will damage the
connector pins in the
transceiver.
