■ Optional battery case (BP-226)
When usng the optonal battery case attached to the transcever,
nstall 5 × AA (LR6) sze alkalne batteres as llustrated at rght.
The BP-226 s constructed to the IPX4 waterproof standard (IEC
60529, 2006).
q Hook your finger under the latch, and open the cover n the drec-
ton of the arrow (q). (Fg.1)
w Install 5 × AA (LR6) sze alkalne batteres. (Fg.2)
• Install the alkalne batteres only.
• Be sure to observe the correct polarty.
• Do not pn the rbbon under the batteres.
e Close the cover by fttng n the drecton of the arrow (w) frst,
then check that the latch s n place (e). (Fg.1)
• Be sure the gasket and the rbbon are seated correctly, and do not
protrude from the battery case. (Fg.3)
CAUTION:
• When nstallng batteres, make sure they are all the same
brand, type and capacty. Also, do not mx new and old batter-
es together.
• Keep battery contacts clean. It's a good dea to clean battery
termnals once a week.
• Never ncnerate used battery cells snce nternal battery gas
may cause them to rupture.
• Never expose a detached battery case to water. If the battery
case gets wet, be sure to wpe t dry before usng t.
