15-4 FRONT AND REAR BRAKES
NOTE:
Do not release the brake lever/pedal while the bleeder valve is
opened.
• Replenish brake fluid to the UPPER line when the brake fluid
level drops below LOWER line.
• Tighten the air bleeder valve.
Air bleeder valve: 6 N·m (0.6 kgf-m, 4.4 lb-ft)
• Pour brake fluid up to the UPPER line.
• Reassemble the reservoir cap.
BRAKE FLUID REPLACEMENT
• Remove the reservoir cap. (15-3)
• Suck up the brake fluid as much as possible.
• Pour fresh brake fluid into the reservoir.
• Connect a transparent tube to the bleeder valve and set the
other end into a receptacle. (above)
• Loosen the bleeder valve and pump the brake lever/pedal
until old brake fluid is completely out of the brake system.
• Bleed air from the brake system. (15-3)
